The Awesome Art Studio has created fish that are inspired by the cubist work of Paul Klee. They first drew the wacky shape - Klee did not do realistic looking pictures - and then divided the shape up. Warm colors were used for the fish and cool colors for the surrounding water. Dynamic results!
For the birds, the artists worked in groups, using the fancy paper was created earlier in the cluster. There is a small section of the fancy paper, similar to some painted by Eric Carle for his books, below one of the bird pictures. To make the birds, stencils were drawn and cut out and then traced onto the fancy paper. Strips of the fancy paper form the "wires" on which the birds sit. In some of the bird pictures it is raining.
