The Story Crafters explored two other forms of visual storytelling in addition to their collage story Bee, Me and T - three very different visual approaches. After sharing a dozen of different "fish" stories from the library collection, they created their own air-dried clay fish which could be used as a storytelling puppet. Each fish was painted and glazed to seal it.
The other visual elements they create were animals and objects formed from geotiles. The brightly colored geometric shapes became a flower, a fish, a bee, a butterfly, an apple and more. The objects will be reproduced on cards for the PreK. Each card will also have the alpha of the first letter of the object name and the object name. The cards can be used for storytelling, for STEM construction (re-creating the object with geotiles) or for shape and color recognition.
